wait, so now you’re saying that Lewis “didn’t call McCain a racist” (from your earlier post) but he did accuse McCain of stoking racism for political gain?

i think my quibble with a distinction so fine is that i doubt it’s applied evenly. but i admit i have no evidence at hand to back that statement up.

I think the line he’s trying to draw is between yelling the N word at someone, and something like Nixon’s Southern Strategy….
