Earlier, mention was made of the big northeastern blackout that happened 10 years ago today.

After 9/11, I decided to set some newspapers and magazines aside so I would have something to show future generations about what happened beyond what you could find online.

After 2001, I continued to collect newspapers and magazines across many major events up to the present day. My collection now includes papers/magazines from events such as:

- 9/11/2002 (one year anniversary)
- Columbia Disaster
- Second Iraq War
- Death of Saddam Hussein
- Asian Tsunami
- 2005 NHL Lockout
- Hurricane Katrina
- Death of Pope John Paul II
- London Terrorist Bombings
- First (and second) election of Barack Obama
- Death of Michael Jackson
- Saints win the Super Bowl
- Death of Osama Bin Laden

And yes, the Northeast blackout that occurred 10 years ago, August 14, 2003 (also my 22nd birthday).
