I’ve never heard John Mayer, and I rarely listen to Clapton. I gave away my Clapton Crossroads box set years ago.

I have nothing against Clapton. He’s a great guitarist, and decent singer. But I would rather hear the original versions of the blues songs he covers.

without Clapton, Keith Richards and maybe two other artists, nobody would have ever remembered Robert Johnson….they alone resurrected the Delta blues and dragged it to the mainsteam
