Huh. So you, in Colorado, are able to talk about what New York City agencies will and will not accept? Do you travel to New York City often?

Man you’re having a tough time reading this morning, Walter! See, when I said:

That both says that it’s official, and that it can still be used as proof?

A friend of mine here in NYC, and the author who you linked to, both contend that there’s a lot of agencies in NYC that won’t accept the old-school birth certificates as proof, since they’re insecure. You’re saying they’re both wrong, based on your ability to use it some places. However, that doesn’t actually disprove the contention, in the least.
