re: #390 wrenchwench

The first time I saw a transgendered woman interviewed (many years ago), she spoke about the pleasures of makeup, dresses, purses, stuff that means nothing to me, and I’m a woman, and I kind of resented that what she enjoyed about womanhood meant nothing to me, and thought my opinion should count for more having been born female in the right body.

I got over it. I’m not the arbiter of womanhood.

Yeah, I always heard that, too. Meh. I haven’t worn a skirt in 20 yrs (and only because it was required at a job I had). Don’t care about the stuff they sell in the market place as “feminine” (makeup, fake breasts, etc). Always was “tailored”, no frilly frou-frou for me (I’m small, so would look like a child). And it’s a relief to have a clean, fresh face all the time.

Women can “cross dress” as much as they wish, which I do, but it’s men who need to get a grip about all that.
