On a related topic, put into the Pages a link to the latest BP Statistical Review of World Energy, for 2010, for those who want lots of info on the status of world energy supplies and consumption.

OPEC never did try another stunt for several reasons, not the least of which that the individual countries don’t follow the rules. It’s an nearly impotent “cartel”. In that the cartel can keep any individual nation from dumping too much oil on the market when prices are falling, thus making sure prices don’t fall too low, might be something they are doing, but I’m not even convinced of that.

All true, but I don’t think anyone really wants to test what would happen with another OPEC boycott.
