I donât understand what is so hard for these idiots to comprehend⌠the bigger the alliance, the less likely another state is going to attack any member (thatâs good, generally, for peace). By admitting smaller nations, you drastically reduce the chances of regional wars (again, generally good for peace) because itchy neighbors arenât going to want to see American, British, and French bombers flying over their cities. Without NATO, or some such organization, you end up with a situation like we presently have in the Middle East - where foreign powers are stoking/creating/meddling in civil wars.
