Isn’t that “ER guy”?

I could never watch ‘er (pronounced ‘er and not “E, R”). I’d tell people (back when it was on TV) that it sounded like it belonged on the end of a word.
(I did actually watch a few episodes, but not during the actual seasons - like Seinfeld…managed to avoid that show for nine years, then watched the last two episodes and missed absolutely nothing).
