Man, I had the poor luck to be subjected to Rush yesterday. The man was in almost epic form railing against the Obama speech.

A few of the “highlights”:

- Much celebrating over the unemployment numbers (I guess somehow people NOT having jobs is a good thing? Hmm.

- Rush said watching Obama’s speech made him sick to his stomach. Even crazier than that, a caller to the show said he had to take Maalox before sitting down to watch it. Good grief.

- Rush said Obama’s choice of intro music (“Won’t back down”/Tom Petty) was one of the weirdest things he’s ever seen at a convention before.

- He was apparently having one hell of a time comparing sound bites of Obama to soundbites of Jimmy Carter

- A discussion on Obama stating in his speech “I am the President” as if the unspoken rest of the statement was: “And the rest of you don’t matter.”
