If you were serving, and within 4 months saw stuff committed by your own side that was beyond the pale - would you stand up and say something?.

Of course I would and lots of people did, but Kerry was different. He presented himself an expert and an authority and he testified in matters he had no first hand knowledge..

That kind of expertise just doesn’t happen in 4 months.

Now, do I blame Kerry? Hell no. At the time he was being used by anti war factions. He may have shared some of their sentiments, but he was being used first and foremost in my opinion.
