Well, I don’t think same-sex marriage is a constitutional right either. But that matters only to a limited degree, since;
1. The Constitution does not bar it, either. Rather, I see our founding document as being silent on the matter.
2. It’s enactment is the right thing to do. The arguments against it do not add up to enough to justify the pain its refusal inflicts.
