To a bad businessperson, this is very true.

To a good/smart businessperson, education is important because you want smart employees who can actually do the jobs you ask of them. Health care, environmental and safety protections are important because sick/injured employees mean you’re losing money (either because a qualified employee is out of work, or you’ve fired them and hired a new employee who you must now train, thereby sinking additional resources into the same damn job).

Too many people, like Trump and his goons, are playing tic tac toe (poorly) and thinking they are geniuses.

Smart business people understand long-term investments. Other just make deals and then walk away.
