One cannot help but laugh at the magical thinking that emanates from the Paulbots. First is the magical thinking that this quack would ever win a presidential election. The second, and most important, is how even he did win how a former congressman that typically votes alone in the House could ever muster any support from congress which would be required to implement any of his proposed policies. The office of the president does not exist in a vacuum. Yet, the Paulbot continue to think in a magical vein thinking that one day Ron Paul will rule the land as if by decree or like a “Royal Libertarian King.”
It’s that sort of magical thinking that says “A president can do whatever he wants, which means if something happens during his presidency, it’s because he wanted it to happen.” It’s why I think all debates for future elections should carry a disclaimer at the bottom that says “Warning: Promises made subject to Congressional approval.”
