I actually found the new muppet movie to be evil for a very different reason. It was basically a grand manipulation, and it failed. Basically it was a movie designed to reinvent a tired brand that had lost its cache, and the entire plot to the film was about them trying to reinvent the tired brand. They wanted us to care about the brand so that we would leave caring about the brand. I didn’t and guess what, neither did my kids. They have not once mentioned any of the characters, the songs or the story since they saw it. I was hugely disappointed. My wife and I grew up with the Muppets. We had high hopes for it. Commie bastards./
