Yup.

IIRC, in the past you’ve blown off midterms, or at least those small elections.

Most people do, but I look on it as a responsibility, (even though in this particular year’s election the ballot, for me, is pretty much without a great deal of effect - the local districts are well crafted.)

That’s why I asked. It’s one thing to object to modern social pressure methods. But elections are also a social construct. They are well regulated, unlike say internet-driven boycotts or calls for people getting fired. But when candidates run against an incumbent, they are asking that the population “fire” the incumbent. Again, elections are well regulated, but they too are a form of group pressure, and that is why we invented the political advertising industry.

Political bandwagons and internet-driven cause-bandwagons are twins (perhaps fraternal, not identical) from the womb of your society.
