Cool! I want the Girlfriend Fiancee to get her carry permit. A .357 would be fine for her, as she could still shoot .38s in it. What I really want isa a Smith and Wesson 642 or the like (I’ll go for the hammerless over the ability to shoot magnum rounds). She won’t be able to handle the heavy magnum loads, but a +P would be doable. She doesn’t need to have to worry about single or double action, and she doesn’t want to learn a manual of arms the way she’d need to with an automatic.

It isn’t the best (I’d rather load her up with a Kahr in 9mm, and a couple of extra magazines), but it is what she is willing to do.

First, congratulations!! Hmm…the little 642 does look sweet. Sounds like she’s kind of like my wife. The Ladysmith appeals to her for the very reason she can fire .38s through it. She’s very good with both my Glock 9mm (the 19 and 26), but really does prefer the revolvers. Go figure.
