How did you get a notice that this was occurring by this “individual”?

One of the sites I belong to, I have it set up to send me a notice if someone searches for my name and clicks my - very very basic - profile. It’s a site where the information is there anyhow, from public sources, and if you find yourself and create just a basic profile - enter an e-mail address and confirm it; it is not shared publicly - it will send you a notice if someone is searching for you.
