Can the Republican’s do a fair fight any longer, or is spreading bull their only way anymore?

I know for a long time it has been called ‘political games’ but then after the games were over, sometimes things actually got done.

Now, all games all the time. And nothing gets done.

Claire McCaskill did the same thing when she used ads and outside money to get Todd Akin the GOP nomination to face her in the 2012 Missouri Senate election. Akin of course, promptly shit the bed with his “legitimate rape” comments and handed her the election on a silver platter.

Like it or not, getting the other side to turn on its candidates is a legitimate election tactic. Straight engagement on the issues doesn’t work very well at this stage of the game since there is no clear Republican front-runner, whereas Hillary Clinton is the obvious Democratic favorite. And if you’re the front-runner the other side targets you.
