Semi-off topic: Got a relative who’s embracing the worst vegan anti-science mindset possible on Facebook. Posted a graphic that has the phrase “Racism=Specieism=Sexism.”

I told her to walk up to someone whose ancestors came here as slaves; or a woman who’s being paid less at her job; and tell them their experiences are no different than farm animals.

Be vegan all you want; just try to maintain some kind of sanity while you do it.

A coworker here has recently turned vegetarian and has been bringing it up in conversation constantly.

Last week, he was trying to explain how you could “activate” nuts for additional protein.

I asked him if this involved cupping the balls.

He’s stopped talking about being a vegetarian for now.
