Fair enough, and to really go out on a limb, it goes both ways.

Being really close to an issue doesn’t neccessarily make you see it more clearly.

Being ignorant of history also makes it difficult to see clearly.

The wrongs done by one do not negate the wrongs done by another.

But if one side is very heavily weighted with wrongs, and the other side is not - well, then - I can certainly make a personal judgment and form an opinion as to which side has the greater good in mind, and which side doesn’t.
