in this country, the voices of conformity and puritanicalism are still so loud and insistant that atheists and actual real live socialists or communists hardly dare speak up

a poll recently asking “would you vote for a…” (woman, muslim, catholic, socialist, etc) registered atheists near the bottom in terms of electability

And guess what, there are a lot of us atheists who are respectful or believers and will only debate the topic is all involved are interested in the debate… otherwise, I rarely bring it up.
