I’m sorry, I just don’t get your point at all. You seem to just be saying there’s a lot of bureacacy and that sucks. You’re not actually engaging with the point I”m making:
A health insurance company has an active incentive to kick sick people off the rolls.
A single-payer insurance system doesn’t.
The amount of paperwork is entirely fucking orthogonal to this and has shit-all to do with it. If you want to complain about bureaucracy, have at it, but it is meaningless in the context of a comparison of the systems.
And a single-payor system has automatic advantages that make it more efficient. No marketing budget. No producer/agent compensation.
Medicare’s stats bear that out: it is significantly more efficient that private carriers.
They all require paperwork, but I see technology making that more painless as time goes on.
