Anybody work in the consulting business? I’m being asked to consult and don’t know how to valuate my time or output. I’ll figure something out, but anybody…. want to consult on consulting?

Unless you’re providing material goods (brochures, power points, etc) it’s mostly billed hourly. Your time researching as well as actually sitting down and discussing whatever it is your consulting about. Now, as to the hourly rate, that depends on your
A)expertise
B)geography (you can charge more in say New York City than you could in North Platte Nebraska for instance

$25 an hour is a good base
