I watched it on Fox News earlier today. California’s jail system was turned over to a receiver asking for billions of dollars to “improve prisoner healthcare” including to provide aroma therapy!

Governor Arnold was supposedly considering releasing prisoners to save on their healthcare costs, which as mentioned in the Fox News report, were three times what Californians spend on their own healthcare.

We spend $43,000 per prisoner per year. Florida spends $19,000. We also have an extremely powerful and influential prison workers lobby. I head it put yesterday: CA legislatures are not bribed by the unions, they ARE the unions.
