There are schools that offer college-level courses to students that pass certain criteria. They can then roll the credits over towards their college degree if/when they pursue it after graduating from high school.

I started college with 30+ credits (sophomore by most standards).

On the other hand, I also wasn’t an idiot on the Internet. (You could argue I saved that for grad school.)
