Too short lived and they didn’t seem interested in participating in the political process. Early outreaches from Dem politicians were pretty solidly rebuffed. I still wonder about the exact motives of the organizers but I’m still stuck with the feeling that the goal of the protests was just more protests. They couldn’t devise a clear message or define goals. I think the general assembly concept is just window dressing to create busy work for the protesters and make them feel involved rather than a tool to create results. OWS was put together by protest organizers and I think the protest was their only goal.
