Our forces in Korea are there as a deterrence to an attack; it would take a months long massive build up to launch offensive operations against the North. If Trump wants to take out the North’s nuclear strike capacity, our only option is to launch a pre-emptive nuclear strike.

And nukes are the sole credible response we have to even a thwarted nuclear attack or conventional ballistic missile attack on US continental soil or say Hawaii. Hopefully Russia will recognize EKV’s as non threatening to them
