To my (total lack of) surprise, the NYT article is not about IHG taking some totally unprecedented step that is a complete shock for the hotel industry…it’s their using something most of the major hotel chains have already been doing to score some good press. And NYT trying to suggest that it is in some way “controversial,” when really the only reason the average goober will bitch is because it’s being framed by hotel companies as a “green” move when really it’s a cost-saving measure.
