People should definitely comply with the short-form census.

If you’re one of those randomly selected for the long form, however, that’s a different matter. I don’t really see why the federal government needs to know how many toilets are in my house, or how many pets we have.

Most of that information just gets used by marketing people, anyway. Let them pay to collect it.
