How partisan they are matters less than how accurate they are. TPM is usually pretty good, I think. Is that what you’re calling a ‘Dem think tank’?

TPM is ok in my book but not great. Info is selective but usually accurate. Media Matters also does a decent job (with the exception of the MJ Rosenberg thing) but they are also selective. Think Progress is pretty bad in my opinion. Much sloppier, more factual errors, no corrections, etc. All of them are run by the Center for American Progress. Not that there’s anything wrong with that but they do have an agenda to promote.
Although sites like FactCheck, Politifact, etc are not always perfect I tend to take their fact checking more seriously than lobbyists and partisan think tanks.
