Dave Weigel Joins MSNBC As Paid Contributor

So, the Washington Post Company drops Weigel last week – some would say prematurely – and NBCU scoops him up a few days later. Mediaite has confirmed from MSNBC that Weigel’s role will be both paid and exclusive to the network. It’s likely, then that we’ll see Weigel show up on other non-Countdown programs on MSNBC as well.

Looks like a step up to me. TV money is almost certainly better than newspaper money.
