So you are saying that honor killings are uniquely muslim thing? Ummm. No. Sorry. What we call crimes of passion are the exact equivalent of honor killings. There is no real difference. If you get killed by your brother for looking at the wrong boy or by your husband because you want to leave him is irrelevant. Both are examples of the same kind of control driven violence.

I don’t know why you got down dinged so hard on that. It is certainly prevalent in Muslim society, and religiously motivated, but it is far from unique. Hindus do it all the time, for example, and Latins were well known for their crimes of “honor” recognized by their courts as valid excuses long before any of us knew squat about Islam.
