Yeah, but when I watched one of her speeches, I keep trying to picture it as if it was my mom saying it. That’s what makes me cringe. I know what she means, it’s just that there are more artful ways to say it. I’m not trying to get on her case that much though, since I think Palin’s kids, no matter how old they are, should be mostly left alone.

Agreed, and also with your earlier comment. This is part of what I had in mind when saying Bristol is being exploited.
I can help cringing everytime she refers to the ‘terrible mistake’ for exactly that reason. And I don’t doubt at all that she loves her baby, but because she’s being exploited by the abstinence lobby this is the kind of language she winds up using. I don’t think even she is comfortable with it, btw.
