In his defense, kind of, around here if a rabbit is swimming and coming towards a person, there is an outstanding chance of it being a rabid animal. You really don’t want to be bit or clawed by this critter and the animal needs to be put down.

Well, it’s funny when it happens to someone else, especially the kindly potus, no matter the actual facts. What’s a rabbit doing swimming in a lake? Especially if it has “hydrophobia”, another name for rabies? Where was the secret service? Whatever, the myth is greater than the reality.
