Why do you find it so hard to believe that a leftist would like the government to gain more control over businesses? Why do you think it is outside the realm of possibility that the dithering could be by design — to ensure the financial decay continues — in order to strengthen the government’s hand when the power grab occurs? Why do you think that these things can’t be happening? They’ve happened other places in other times… why not here? Why not now?
