The SDA are one of those fundamentalist off-shoots that other fundamentalists believe are a bit looney. Not because of the creationism thing, but because of the founder and her special books.

It’s all a part of that tapestry which is hyper-religious America, a left over from the 17th century founding of this thing we call “America”.
