Goes to show women can be every bit as sexist as men.

Over the past few days I found myself emotionally wincing a couple of times at all the praise, adulation and rah rah greatness of Hillary. I finally stopped brushing off the momentary discomfort of it and asked myself why. Was that praise undeserving? Nope. Was it appropriate for the occasion? Absolutely. Did I feel anything like that when the subject was Obama? Kerry? Bill Clinton? Nope.

So there it is. Even I have those residual feelings skulking about in there. Can’t speak for younger women - I do hope we’ve made it better for you - but I think most of us mature women do have those dark messages whispering insistantly when triggered. We’ve been so well indocrinated in a patriarchal culture that it has seeped into every psychological crack. Thanks to Hillary for helping flush that system out a bit more.
