Fascinating thing is that the smoky-not-quite-purple kind of “orchid” color as that one (Radiant Orchid) is sort of unusual.

Blue is not often found in flowers, and in orchids most lavenders tend to be warm-ish - really ought to be described as ranges of magenta. The Phalaenopsis genus shown in your link also tends to have warmish and weakly colored lavenders. The Vanda alliance of Asian orchids can have the intense, intermediate (between purple and magenta) colors like in your Pantone release.

Most flowers on this planet are either some variant of white or pink. Intensely colored flowers are rather rare in nature.
