Bear in mind the historical absinthe’s famed qualities as a trip likely had nothing to do with wormwood and the chemical thujone, and more to do with how much cheap absinthe was basically dilute poison and methanol. The point of my metaphor being…toxicity plus the craziness of a brain depraved of vital ingredients.
The poison is always in the dose.
