If you want to save a shitpot of money on a daily dram, try The Famous Grouse. Yes, it’s a blend, but it’s pretty much half McAllan and half Highland Park.

It’s a lovely drink, much better than Johnny Walker or Chivas. In my humble opinion, of course. It’s also a WHOLE lot easier on the wallet.

I mostly restrict myself to what I can find in the local liquor stores, laziness being the most important factor in my drinking decisions. So that means lots of Jameson, Jack, and if I’m feeling more spendy on a particular day, Maker’s or something like it.
