Alouette, is there any of your NY-based family that’s in any need at the moment? My wife and I really didn’t get affected by the storm at all, and if there’s anything I can do for you and yours, I’d be happy to help. I can’t, unfortunately, build a bridge between Brooklyn and Manhattan, though.

They’re in Crown Heights, which you can guess (from the Heights part) is on high ground. No power outage, plenty of food, the pizza and burger joints are open, just my daughter doesn’t know how she is going to get to work this morning.
