I had to resist the impulse to deliberately use “assault rifle” just to troll right wingers. This is how they make themselves feel superior, by bringing up trivial technicalities and telling themselves they win, because the stupid liberal doesn’t even know what a semi-automatic rifle is.

It’s a dumb person’s argument.

I don’t know the technical details, and I could not possibly care less. I have yet to see a sensible argument why civilians should have weapons having no other purpose than to kill large numbers of people very quickly.

Let the NRA explain to all why “freedom” includes the ability to commit mass murder with ridiculous ease.
