I would not quantify that as racism and clearly not bigotry. Literally speaking it could be a type of racism; instead of being against/detrimental of a race, it is supportive/promotive of a race. But I think it’s a waste of time and risky to clumsily call it racism. Forget about what it is.

The problem is that this is still going against MLK’s tenet. You’re treating people differently because of their race or skin color, even though the intention is noble and it’s for a good cause. It just doesn’t sit right with me and I can’t find myself to do that.

I disagree with you. Those who support minorities are of the belief that all people should get equal footing, as was MLK’s tenet as you say. But we all know that doesn’t happen. If we didn’t have laws protecting minorities (housing, education, jobs and the like) we’d be living in a fascist state. That doesn’t mean that people don’t try to cheat or get around the system. Rich white folks do that, of course, too.
