Rules have changed over the years to favor passing. I think the quarterbacks of the 70’s would adjust and pass more.

Oh sure, I’m not saying QB’s sucked back then. The real point is that coaching philosophy has changed. And now QB’s are asked to do more. Namath, Fouts and a lot of others could do the same stuff that Brees and others do now.
