blearrrghg. Coming up for air after several hours of surfing for a 7.1 av receiver that’s reasonably flexible and reasonably priced. Doesn’t seem to exist, but I’ll continue looking tomorrow since Frankenputer’s antique 5.1 sound amp is on its last legs. [Frankenputer is my media computer… an old PC with excellent vid card plugged into the big screen and the net…]

The two big contenders out there are Yamaha and Pioneer, but does anyone have recommendations for something that’s not going to cost an arm and a leg? (needs USB and at least three HDMI inputs for Frankenputer and my various still and video cameras)
