There may be some here ganging up on LVQ - I’m not one. I like LVQ. His statement upthread - “ban oil drilling now” - struck me as naive and extremist. Because there is no way in hell that is going to happen.

Just my opinion.

I know that you and I disagree on how much to ban, how soon. You can debate economics and I can point to the costs of delay. In the end of the day, the laws of physics are greater than market forces. You may see my views as naive, that’s fair. I see anything that doesn’t try to move away from fossil fuels as quickly as possible as dangerous.

I did not say stop using oil overnight. I said ban drilling - meaning don’t open any new fields.

I should have been more specific and I will grant you that.
