Controversial Muslim scholar to speak at Harvard

CAMBRIDGE — A Muslim scholar previously denied a visa and barred from speaking engagements in the United States is scheduled to speak at Harvard Law School.

Adam Habib of the University of Johannesburg in South Africa is slated to speak Wednesday about ideological exclusion in an event co-sponsored by the ACLU of Massachusetts.

In January, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton signed orders enabling the re-entry of Habib and Tariq Ramadan of Oxford University in England.
