They really should look up “The Enlightenment” on Wiki. Deists, not Theists, founded this country and not a Baptist, Evangelical, or Born-again amongst them.

Lots of Unitarians, though. Lots of folks who believed in the Social Contract, too. That’s why it, rather than Rugged Individualism, is enshrined in the Constitution.
