The enemies of America would be delighted to see us tearing each other apart. There’s going to be disagreements among people on the same side, but it’s very important to stop short of name-calling. In my view “publicly flogged” is too much, and so is “shrieking lunatic.” Disagreements should be conducted in a reasonable way or we will do damage to ourselves that we cannot afford.
