I certainly am glad that being LDS does not require me to wear headdresses, trains, hoop skirts or corsets. Especially the corset.

SCA-period corsets are not so bad. They didn’t go in for the ridiculously tiny waist of some later periods, and I find that they support your back better than a bra. But the hennin would be a bit much. Especially if you worked in a cube farm in Salt Lake City. I suddenly have a vision of a row of ‘princess hats’ popping up over the top of the dividers.
